The Focus-Friday: A weekly blog post on true inspiring stories of people and life

Introduction
My name is Haruna Inuwa, a smart and intelligent graduate of MTech Production and Industrial Engineering (Distinction) and Petroleum Engineering (First Class Honours) graduate. My research interest lies in the applications of Industry 4.0 technologies in the field of Sustainable Energy, Petroleum Engineering, and Manufacturing.
I am a multifaceted team player with unending passion to excel in my field, service oriented, impeccable leadership skills, and multitasking experience. I love to take on challenges and connecting with people to trade ideas, open to new ideas and versatile.
I have acquired a 3 year working experience ranging from Oil and Gas sector (Upstream and Downstream), FinTech, Renewable, Digital Marketing, and Maritime Industry.
I am currently working as a freelancer at Engausa Global Tech Hub, where I coordinate Startups under the hub, train and monitor their professional and business growth, and perform sizing and estimation analysis for renewable energy systems.
I am a community guy and an inspiring writer. I founded Inspire Young People platform in order to bridge the gaps between my generation and the younger generation through effective mentorship and career guidance. We have over 50 young people under this platform and have already secured JAMB scholarship for five brilliant students under Inspire Young People platform.
I have, so far, won 16 academic and non-academic awards both local and international. In February, 2021, I developed a model for Waste to Energy and Solid Waste Management. The said model was awarded as a City Winner for the Multi-city Challenge Africa powered by the United Nation Development Programme, The Governance Lab, University of New York, and African cities.
October 2020, as a content strategist, I led the social media campaign for a Singapore-based FinTech Company, FemTech Partners, to win UK Impact in Singapore Award, 2020. I also worked as freelance writer for Great Learning, an India’s leading online learning platform.
Currently, I volunteer as a Blog Editor, Clean Energy for Africa, Grant Writer at the Educational Community Worldwide, and also a contributing writer for the online media newspapers Saheliantimes and Nigerian Tracker. Some of my articles are featured on TheWayAhead magazine, the biggest magazine in the oil and gas industry owned by Society of Petroleum Engineers.
As a young person, from northern Nigeria, education is a saviour. Here and there, I always get inspired by people’s story. It started with reading profiles of the successful people and that excessively shaped my level of thinking as I grew up. I held myself on the tapping-activity from daily stories on social media platforms until one fateful day I threw off the bowlines and discovered myself.
Truly, very truly, where you come from matters. Your story matters. Everything around us matters. By telling our stories, we wouldn’t be able to quantify the magnitude of our stories as they become available on the internet. Imagine inspiring crestfallen teeming youths who rubbished their dreams and languidly sleep in the domain of forlorn? Imagine arming a battalion of youths with power of hope, of dreams, of pressing on regardless the ups and downs, regardless the overwhelming odds? This is why we need to tell our stories.
This is why I decided to write. This is why I decided to create this blog with an extension of a Podcast to create strong awareness and to serve as lever of thrusting ahead against life challenges. I want to this to be a community of reflection for young people. I want this blog to serve as a guiding-force in self-discovery and finding sense of purpose. I want this blog to be a home, a kingdom of peace, a republic of hope.
That been said, I will in no doubt, bring my pragmatic depth, good sense of judgment, approach and already acquired skills and experience to bear anywhere I find my humble self.
